ARSENAL have splashed £15million on a one-year loan deal for Dani Ceballos, SunSport's Mike McGrath has exclusively revealed.
Real Madrid's Spain midfielder, 22, follows 18-year-old Brazilian striker Gabriel Martinelli as Unai Emery's second summer recruit.
Ceballos' loan fee and wages top the £15m mark but the deal does NOT include a compulsory purchase next summer.
The former Betis star put the finishing touches to his move after Emery promised to use him regularly.
WILLIAM SALIBA has admitted Matteo Guendouzi was a factor in persuading him to snub Tottenham for a move to Arsenal.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: “Yeah, I spoke to Matteo [Guendouzi].
“I even bumped into him at a funfair in Paris, and that's where I told him that Arsenal wanted to sign me! He gently advised me to come here and explained what it was like.”
MESUT OZIL brutally trolled Tottenham after a fan’s mocking tweet that the Arsenal ace goes missing in games epically backfired.
WILLIAM SALIBA has revealed why he chose a move to Arsenal over a switch to North London rivals Tottenham.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: “Well, first of all, it's a massive pleasure to sign for a really, really big English club. This is the biggest club in England for me, so it was an easy decision. I didn't think twice about signing here, so I'm really happy.
“Since I was little, I've been watching Arsenal play in the Champions League and so on, and there are a lot of French players who have come through here.
“So that really helped me to make my mind up.”
WILLIAM SALIBA has joined Arsenal on a long-term contract but, as expected, will spend a season back on loan at Saint-Etienne.
Unai Emery told the club's website: “We’re delighted William is joining us.
“Many teams wanted him but he decided he wanted to come to us and be part of our future.
“He will stay in France next season for more experience and then we look forward to him joining our group.”
