    Piers picks best Arsenal player

Piers Morgan reckons Oleksandr Zinchenko is Arsenal’s Player of the Season.

He said: "For me, potentially along with Saka and Odegaard, the player of the season for us, and maybe the Premier League, has been Zinchenko.

"Pep Guardiola said he was surplus to requirements. His heat map last night is absolutely insane.

“That guy was supposed to be left-back and he was absolutely everywhere."

    Ramsdale confident of Saka stay

Aaron Ramsdale has reassured Arsenal fans that there's no chance of Bukayo Saka snubbing a new deal.

Ramsdale said: “Even if he only had one week left on his deal I wouldn’t be worried about him being here.

“I’m fairly relaxed about Bukayo, let him crack on with his team and allow the club to sort things out so we can move forward.

“It’s obviously not affecting him, which is why he’s not rushing into anything, but we all know that Bukayo will be an Arsenal player for a long time."

    Arsenal budget right on track

Arsenal's sensible spending has been proven in a stunning new salary reveal.

And their salary spend has increased by just 5.4 per cent since 2017.

    Sterling to snub Gunners switch

Raheem Sterling will reject any approach from Arsenal this summer.

That's because he wants to stay at Chelsea and play a key role in their rebuild.

Sterling was reportedly considering his future at Stamford Bridge less than a year after his move from Man City.

But TalkSport claims the England ace is determined to stay put and make a success of his Chelsea career.

    Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal defeated Everton 4-0 in their Premier League clash at the Emirates.

The Gunners opened the scoring on 40 minutes with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli doubled the North Londoners' lead in the first minute of stoppage time.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard made it three in the 71st minute before Martinelli completed his brace after 80 minutes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal look set to go for West Ham superstar Declan Rice's signature in the summer.

According to The Times, the Gunners have made Rice their priority target for the upcoming transfer window.

Manager Mikel Arteta still needs reinforcement in midfield despite the late arrival of Jorginho in January.

But the North Londoners are set for a bidding war over the England international, who is also eyed by Manchester United and Chelsea.

And Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost with Gabriel Jesus back in training and "pushing the boundaries" ahead of a highly anticipated return to action.

Jesus has been sidelined since the 2022 World Cup after hurting his knee while playing for Brazil in Qatar.

Arteta said: "He's doing more and more on the field. The knee is not reacting, really positive. He's pushing the boundaries right now."

The Spanish tactician added: "We want him back as quick as possible, but also respecting the timescale that the doctors and the specialists are giving us."

Finally, Arsenal star Kieran Tierney is open to joining Newcastle in the summer.

The decision comes after tumbling down the pecking order under Arteta, who prefers Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to The Chronicle, the Magpies are keen on signing Tierney for next season.

The left-back is seen as the missing piece of Eddie Howe’s defensive jigsaw in place of Matt Targett.

    Arsenal's flop Gun

Nuno Tavares used to “annoy” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta before he was shipped out on loan.

Tavares left the Gunners last summer to join Marseille on a season-long deal.

According to L’Equipe, the full-back “sometimes seemed lost on the pitch” during the match.

The same report claims Arteta and his staff were “often annoyed with his behaviour” and that is why they agreed to loan him to L'OM.

But the North Londoners have obviously not given up hope on the Portugal international developing into a top player.

Arsenal refused to include an agreement to buy in the deal with Marseille – that is despite the star himself admitting that he wanted one inserted

    Seven reasons why

Gary Neville has revealed seven reasons why Manchester City will beat Arsenal to the Premier League title.

Neville told The Overlap: "Arsenal have struggled in latter parts of seasons, with last season the most recent example of this. This is why Manchester City will win the Premier League, because when it gets to the last ten games, Arsenal will start to panic a little bit, the anxiety will kick in, pressure builds.

"Playing in the Europa League, potentially travelling away from home on a Thursday and playing a league game on the Sunday, with everyone looking at you – at this point, Arsenal will wilt because they haven’t proven to anybody yet that they can go the distance.

"If Arsenal do it and win the league it will be an unbelievable achievement, but they haven’t been around the block like Manchester City. When it gets to the final ten games and it really kicks in – [Kevin] De Bruyne, [Erling] Haaland, [Ruben] Dias, [Ilkay] Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Kyle Walker – these guys who have been there before, they’ll push on.

"But there are teams who get over the line for the first time and this could be the year for Arsenal. It’s too much emotion, too early for Arsenal. To be that desperate and to celebrate that much with half the race still to go, it’s not a good thing.

"After the Aston Villa game, I can understand how big of a moment it was, but that level of celebration was quite desperate, quite early. There was a lot of celebrations at the end of the game. The emotions are something that’s a negative, it’s not a positive for me in a title race"
