Chiefs’ Jordan Ta’amu also tests positive for COVID-19 before Patriots game
The highly anticipated matchup between the Chiefs and Patriots had to be postponed due to COVID-19 cases on both teams.
In addition to New England star Cam Newton testing positive for the coronavirus, Chiefs practice squad quarterback Jordan Ta’amu also has contracted the coronavirus, according to multiple reports, and has been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Like the Patriots, the Chiefs have not had any other confirmed cases, though the Titans’ recent outbreak serves as a reminder that positive results could spring up days later.
Ta’amu most recently starred in the second incarnation of the XFL, playing for the St. Louis BattleHawks. The 22-year-old went undrafted out of Ole Miss last year, then spent the preseason with the Texans, before being cut.
