Cowboys blame ‘error’ for leaving Dak Prescott out of hype video

This Cowboys called it an “error.” Needless drama is more like it.

Dallas kept franchise quarterback Dak Prescott out of an offseason hype video this week. ESPN’s Marcus Spears reported that Dallas told him it was merely an “error,” but it was still a glaring omission.

Perhaps it was an accident, but it certainly can’t help the rocky relationship between the star quarterback and the team. Prescott is still waiting on a long-term contract after negotiations stalled in the 2020 offseason, and he ended up playing on the franchise tag.

Without Prescott over the last 11 games of the season – he suffered a fractured right ankle in the Cowboys’ Week 5 victory over the Giants – the team fell apart, losing six of their next seven games. They finished 6-10 and clearly need him badly if they want to contend for the postseason.

Someone should’ve informed whoever was in charge of that video.
