How Man Utd could line up against Chelsea with flops having final chance to impress new manager Ralf Rangnick

JADON SANCHO could be given another chance to impress incoming interim boss Ralf Rangnick away at Chelsea on Sunday.

The German gaffer, 63, is set to take charge of the Red Devils on a deal until the end of the season following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal.

Current United caretaker boss Michael Carrick is looking for back-to-back wins following Tuesday's 2-0 win against Villarreal in Spain.

Sancho scored his first United goal during the Champions League victory, while Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the victory late on.

Both men, who will likely feature heavily under Rangnick, are expected to be included in the starting XI against the Blues.

But United will be without skipper Harry Maguire, who is suspended for the clash following his red card against Watford last week.

Meanwhile United are still without French duo Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba through injury, and Luke Shaw is a major doubt having suffered concussion against the Hornets.

Here SunSport takes a look who could be named in Carrick's line-up on Sunday.

David De Gea will almost certainly start between the sticks having starred for United this season, despite conceding 21 Premier League goals in 12 games.

With Shaw to potentially miss out, Brazilian left-back Alex Telles will likely deputise in his absence.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will once again feature on the opposite side, with a centre-back pairing consisting of Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly.

Central midfielder Fred is also a doubt for the trip to Chelsea after twisting his ankle against Villarreal, though he managed to complete the game.

Commenting on the player, Carrick said: "Fred twisted his ankle the other night.

"He managed to carry on, which was pretty incredible, to be honest, seeing the game out and playing a big part in winning the game for us. We'll have to see how that settles down."

Fred could be risked for the match in West London, and he would likely play alongside Scott McTominay in the middle of the pitch again.

After starting from the bench earlier in the week, Bruno Fernandes could be drafted in for Donny van de Beek.

Sancho is likely to keep his place on the right wing, with Anthony Martial to be deplpoyed on the opposite flank.

And leading the line will be Cristiano Ronaldo, who is looking to score his 11th goal since returning to United in the summer.
