NFL pushes back Titans vs. Steelers after more COVID-19 positives

The Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game has been pushed back to later in the season after the Titans had two more positive COVID-19 tests Thursday morning, the NFL announced.

The Titans have now had 11 total positive COVID-19 cases after one player and one personnel member tested positive Thursday, bringing the totals to five players and six personnel.

“The decision to postpone the game was made to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel,” the NFL said in a statement. “The Titans facility will remain closed and the team will continue to have no in-person activities until further notice.”

According to ESPN, some of the positive cases include defensive assistant coaches.

The initial hope was that the Titans vs. Steelers game could take place either Monday or Tuesday after it was initially postponed from Sunday, but now the game will be played at a to-be-determined date later in the season.
