‘90 Day Fiancé’: Rebecca Gets a Tattoo 'in Honor' of Zied
In the history of 90 Day Fiancé, there have been a number of memorable couples, and one of them is definitely Rebecca Parrott and Zied Hakimi from season 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. The couple is a part of season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé, which just premiered its first episode.
How did Rebecca and Zied meet?
Rebecca is 49 years old from Canton, GA. She met Zied, who is 27 and from Tunisia, on Facebook. Rebecca saw him in her friend suggestions, and a relationship blossomed from there.
Fans were able to see the couple meet for the first time, and there were a number of drama-filled moments that stem from a lot of differences involving religion and culture. The couple ends up engaged, but not before Rebecca has to come clean about technically still being married to her ex even though she’s separated and going through a divorce. Also, she had a previous relationship with a woman, which is all shocking news for Zied to come to terms with. Despite that, the couple is going strong and there’s only one hurdle left to climb in the K-1 visa process: The interview.
Before Zied, Rebecca met a 20-year-old from Morocco, and she actually married him overseas. She brought him back on the spousal visa, but she says he was only with her for the Green Card, and she left him. She is worried that Zied will react to questions about the situation in his interview, and she tells him not to “seem angry about it.”
Rebecca gets a tattoo ‘in honor’ of Zied
Zied only has the interview left to go in the process, and it’s an exciting time for them. In the premiere episode, we see Rebecca getting a tattoo “in honor” of Zied. It’s in Arabic, and includes some sweet words.
“I’m covered in ink, and today’s tattoo is really special,” she tells the cameras. “Because it’s in honor of my 27-year-old fiancé. This is actually something that me and Zied say all the time. It’s Arabic, ‘I am yours and you are mine.’”
She mentions to the tattoo artist that she hopes “it says what he said it says,” as she laughs. The tattoo is in purple ink above her hand on her wrist, and it also includes a crescent moon and star.
Zied isn’t thrilled about living with Rebecca’s daughter and her fiancé
Rebecca’s lease is going to end soon, and Tiffany, her daughter, has offered for her and Zied to stay with her and her fiancé, Micah, when Zied arrives in Georgia. But apparently Zied doesn’t want to stay with them.
“He’s uncomfortable with me being here and Micah being here,” Rebecca tells Tiffany. “So me walking around in my pajamas or something…” Rebecca says. She mentions that Zied is “a very conservative Muslim.”
Tiffany tells Micah about it, and she already doesn’t like that “he thinks he can already control her.” Rebecca breaks it down, saying that Micah is “technically an unmarried man,” which is the problem.
Micah says Zied needs to “get over” the differences they have in their cultures. Micah believes that Zied needs to “catch on to the way things work, and catch on quick.” If Zied does anything “out of line,” Micah admits they will “have problems.”
Tiffany has her doubts since her mother has been down a similar road before. But Rebecca insists that this time she has 90 days, which is different from the last situation.
How will this whole dynamic work once Zied gets to the United States? We’ll have to see how things play out in season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé.
