Amy Anzel slams BBC for turning Apprentice into Love Island with beautiful women

The Apprentice's Amy Anzel has slammed the BBC for turning the popular business show into Love Island after enlisting "quite beautiful" candidates.

Amy shot to fame last January (2022) when she appeared on the popular BBC One programme headed up by Lord Alan Sugar.

The flame-haired beauty founded and owns successful business, Hollywood Beauty Browzer.

After getting fired by Lord Sugar in week six, the American businesswoman, 49, allegedly wasn't invited to the final of the show, entitled You're Hired.

And now Amy has spoken out about the new series of The Apprentice, which catapulted back onto our screens last night (January 5), branding it a "wannabe Love Island".

Giving Daily Star her exclusive insights each week, Amy tuned into the first episode of the show on Thursday and has now revealed her thoughts to us – and will continue to do so each week (so be sure to keep coming back to us for the latest).

Speaking to us exclusively, Amy explained how she thinks the majority of the candidates look more like they belong on Love Island than on a business show.

She also touched on how they [the BBC] are clearly trying to tap into the ITV2 audience.

"The BBC is obviously trying to make it more like Love Island.

"A lot of the female candidates are quite beautiful and it was interesting that the first episode was on a beach," she revealed to us.

She then added: "I'm surprised they weren't in bikinis, but it is the BBC."

This comes after Amy revealed to us that Lord Sugar branded her "thick" while on the show.

Recalling an incident in the boardroom, Amy said: "I remember in the boardroom once Lord Sugar said 'you're so thick' to me initially, in one of the first boardrooms."

She went on: "And I think what looking around at people like 'was he actually saying that to me?' and everyone would say afterwards, like, 'yeah, he's picking on you, but maybe it's because he knows that you're one of the stronger candidates'."
