BBC Strictly ‘fix’ row escalates as Anton du Beke makes ‘telling’ remark

Angela Rippon spills Strictly Come Dancing secret

Strictly Come Dancing fans were left unimpressed by Anton Du Beke after his comments to contestant Angela Rippon.

Recently, viewers have claimed the BBC dance competition is “fixed” to keep the 79-year-old in the competition due to her heritage of hosting Come Dancing.

However, on Saturday night, the backlash continued to grow further following one of the judge’s critiques.

Anton Du Beke told the pair after their performance: “That’s right up my street! I loved this.

“I almost didn’t really care how it went because I loved it so much.

“The frocks, the suits, the extra dancers, the whole ambience, it was just perfect for tonight.

“You looked amazing, you had a moment there where you were dancing around going, ‘This is great!’

“You turned around and went: ‘Oh, who are you!’ it was one of the extra dancers, it was so elegant, so sophisticated and gorgeous, I’m delighted you got to do it.”

However, his comments didn’t go unnoticed by viewers at home who were left reeling with his feedback.
