Coronation Street star addresses taking over Rovers Return
Coronation Street: Ryan Connor considers online sex work
Coronation Street’s Stephanie Davies has addressed the circulating fan theories that her character Courtney Vance could be the new landlady of the Rovers Return.
Stephanie joined the soap as Courtney back in June and has been involved in a storyline alongside characters Aadi Alahan (played by Adam Hussain) and Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin).
Courtney and Aadi embarked on an affair with one another whilst Dev was trying to close a new business deal with Courtney’s husband Darren Vance (Ryan Early).
Elsewhere on the soap, Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews) was forced to sell the Rovers Return to Newton and Ridley after struggling to pay the bills.
Since then, fans have wondered who could possibly take over the Rovers as the new landlady, with Courtney’s name being thrown into the mix.

Stephanie recently spoke to Inside Soap about her character and where she teased the prospect of taking up the new role and Courtney’s future on the soap.
She said: “She’d be an amazing landlady. I think she’d love it because she could be involved with all of the gossip.
“Although, she wouldn’t take any rubbish – there’d be no drama going on inside her pub.”
Courtney has been gone from the soap for a few weeks after she and Darren went on a holiday with one another.
She is set to return next week with her and Aadi’s relationship finally going public, leaving Dev and Darren stunned and angry.
How will their relationship affect Dev and Darren’s business deal?
Could Dev end up kicking Aadi out for ruining his future plans? Or will Courtney help them still secure the deal and get on Dev’s good books?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
