Deal or No Deal is reportedly coming back to TV screens in the UK with ITV looking to reboot the popular Channel 4 show. However, they will be giving the show their own twist with Stephen Mulhern fancied by sources to take over the reins.
Reports from The Sun suggest the game show phenomenon could be ready to wow viewers once again.
A show insider revealed: “ITV think there is still a huge appetite for it and think they could make a huge success of the show if they brought it back.
“Plans for the reboot are in the very early stages and the details of when it could come back are being closely guarded.

“There have been discussions around Noel possibly returning but ITV decided they want to give the show a completely fresh look and feel.”
They added: “Stephen has been approached about being the new host of the show which is something he is over-the-moon about.
“He has really proven himself to ITV and after he got his own show In For A Penny, as well as Catchphrase, bosses think Stephen could be ideal for it. ”
The Former Noel’s House Party host presented the Channel 4 hit show from 2005 to 2016.
After 3,000 episodes of discussing offers with the mysterious banker, the programme ceased production.
The show’s format, where hopefuls would open 22 boxes to see if they could win a £250,000 prize, was later sold to more than 80 countries around the world.
Noel’s unique presenting style and connection with each contestant made him a popular figure among viewers.
However, it looks as though that role will be passed to Stephen, something Noel has hinted at being open to in the past.
When talk of a Deal Or No Deal return was previously mentioned, Noel told Express.co.uk: “How lucky am I? How fortunate am I to have been offered formats like that.
“It was a fabulous 10 years. I don’t like the way tabloids always make it into something being axed. It came to the end of its run.
“What a wonderful experience. For millions of people it was destination television.
“People of a certain age and students, I was very fortunate to get to do that.
“I had a very, very happy 10 years. I agreed with Jay Hunt in the end that after nearly 3,000 shows we should stop.
He continued: “It was great. 50 years I’ve been doing this, next month, and I am so fortunate.
“If you think back to Swap Shop and then Telly Addicts, Noel’s House Party, Deal or No Deal, I’ve had a lot of hits and I’m so grateful for it.
“It’s a fabulous format, a wonderful format and I think they should find somebody who can bring a different aspect to it, a different angle and definitely, definitely bring it back. I wouldn’t wait. If they could afford it.”
