EastEnders Billy predicted to become Lexis guardian after tragic Lola story
EastEnders fans were devastated to learn that Lola Pearce will be diagnosed with a brain tumour in an upcoming storyline.
After sharing a kiss with former flame Jay Browning, viewers are heartbroken that they may not have much time to spend together, following Lola's diagnosis.
They have also taken to social media to speculate what will happen to Lola and Ben Mitchell's daughter Lexi in future months.

While Lexi is Ben's daughter, some fans think that Lola's grandfather Billy Mitchell may become her guardian instead.
As fans prepare for Lola's emotional exit from the soap, Daily Star takes a closer look at fan theories about the beloved character.
EastEnders bosses have confirmed that Lola will be diagnosed with a brain tumour in an upcoming storyline.
The story will see Lola and her loved ones deal with her diagnosis, as she faces her new reality of being a young person living with a brain tumour, with the emotional scenes due to air this Autumn.
Following Lola star Danielle Harold's announcement that she is leaving the soap, fans have now taken to social media to share their sadness that Lola may die following her diagnosis, and that is how the character will exit the soap.
One fan said: "Omg, waking up and seeing Lola's brain tumour storyline confirmation. So sad and tragic! Really devastating. She's a great character. It's a shame she has to leave like that," followed by a crying emoji.
"Lola's storyline is going to be so heartbreaking," added a second.
A third commented: "First Heather, then Ronnie and Roxy and now Lola. Why does #EastEnders kill off so many good characters."
"Lola is such a bright bubbly, sometimes outspoken young woman with her whole life ahead of her. She's also been the best mother to Lexi. To see that ripped away it's horrible," agreed a fourth.
Romance with Jay
Jay and Lola share a kiss in tonight's episode of EastEnders (October 6), and fans think that the couple will finally rekindle their romance after months apart.
One fan said: "Jay and Lola should have never been split up, they should have married and had their baby."
A second added: "Lola needs to tell Jay how she feels," while a third said: "Her and Jay yet again potentially?"
However, viewers have also taken to social media to say that their romance will be tainted with heartbreak, following Lola's diagnosis with a brain tumour.
Speaking about Lola's diagnosis, viewers think that Lola will spend her remaining time creating memories with Jay, with one saying: "It'll break my heart to see Jay and Lola broken up by Lola's devastating diagnosis, but at least we know that Jay and Lola will have time together before she is diagnosed."
Another said: "So Lola and Jay are gonna get back together, then the awful news comes to light for Lola doesn't it, with a sixth viewer adding: "Jay admitting Lola's the love of his life…this storyline's going to break me."
Billy becomes Lexi's guardian
Following Lola's brain tumour diagnosis, fans have taken to social media to share their concerns for Lola's daughter Lexi.
Lexi is the daughter of Ben Mitchell, but viewers think that if Lola does die from her brain tumour, then Lola's grandfather Billy should be named as Lexi's legal guardian.
"Billy looked up to Lola like a daughter," said one fan, pointing to the close bond that Lola and Billy have with one another.
Another said: "Lola is the best mother that Lexi could ever have and she's responsible," adding: "I hope Billy or Jay apply for custody."
"I know Ben will be part of the storyline, but I want him to be in a supporting role. I would love to see Lola make Billy and Jay Lexi's guardians," agreed a third.
A fourth said: "I think Lexi will have Billy and Jay as support in terms of her care."
However, some fans do have concerns for the absence of Lola from Billy's current storyline, which has seen him arrested for a crime he did not commit.
Viewers have noticed that while the Mitchell family are rallying around Billy, Lola is nowhere to be seen, with one viewer commenting: "It's like the writers have forgotten that Lola is Billy's granddaughter. You got the whole family getting upset about Billy, whilst Lola is in the pub having drinks with her mates?"
Another said: "Have the writers forgotten Lola and Billy are related because she don't seem very bothered."
Despite this, fans know that there will be many upcoming scenes between the two, as Lola reveals her diagnosis to her family in emotional, upcoming scenes.
"One of the hardest scenes will be when Lola tells Lexi, Billy and Jay. Then we'll have the scenes of Lola trying to deal with the cancer and spending the time she has left with her family. It will be heartbreaking. I've always liked Lola," they said.
