EastEnders fans predict Whitney death as they notice haunting Chantelle clue

EastEnders fans have been left worried for Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) after she continued delving into Chantelle Atkins' death and how Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) was involved.

Whitney's suspicions have been growing around her ex Gray, as he prepares to get married to Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).

And in Thursday night's episode, she was desperate to crack into Chantelle's account on a message board online, but she was struggling to come up with the password.

She got a frantic call from Chelsea, who was devastated after realising her wedding dress was a little too small.

Luckily, Whitney was on hand to save the day and made some alterations – but it also gave her an opportunity to do some rooting in Gray's house.

As she looked through a kitchen drawer, the camera kept focussing on the block of knives, with viewers concerned as Chantelle had died after being pushed onto upturned knives in the open dishwasher.

One viewer tweeted: "Oh you are way too close to that dishwasher Whitney!"

Another said: "The close-up of the knives there…"

A third wrote: "I wonder what Whitney will find in the house? I just noticed the knives in the dishwasher were standing on end."

Someone else said: " Knives just on stand by there."

A fifth wrote: "If Whitney lives to see New Year I'll be surprised."

And another added: "Whitney is gonna die."

Before long, Whitney managed to get into the account and she read about the abuse Chantelle had suffered at the hands of Gray.

She read how he had punched her and made her life hell, leaving her stunned.

Gray soon interrupted, causing Whitney to drop the phone – but she quickly grabbed it before he could see.

But with her meddling, could she find herself as Gray's next victim?

Or will she be the one to finally expose his evil ways?

EastEnders continues at 8pm on Christmas Eve
