EastEnders star Louisa Lytton pays tribute to daughter with first ever tattoo

Louisa Lytton, best known for playing the role of Ruby Allen in EastEnders, has paid tribute to her daughter with a new tattoo.

The star took the plunge and got inked for the first time this week, and joked that the small design on her upper back had been ‘mum approved’ before being posted to Instagram.

‘Did a thing. A tiny thing. Mum approved so now I can post,’ she said on her Instagram stories, followed by a laughing emoji.

She went onto explain the link to her daughter, Aura, saying: ‘Then Vito [the tattoo artist] said did you know Aura means Soul in Italian. I knew…so it happened.’

Little Aura was stunned by her mum’s new ink, with Louisa sharing a photo of her reaction as she video called her from the tattoo parlour.

‘Told Aura, she couldn’t believe it,’ Louise said.

Louisa joined EastEnders as Ruby Allen back in 2005, when the character arrived in Walford looking for gangster father Johnny Allen.

She left the show in 2006, but later returned once more in 2018, where she became involved in a harrowing storyline around the topic of consent.

She left the show for a final time in 2021 when Ruby was arrested.

Since then, Louisa has started a new venture, a ‘new and exciting’ clothing brand called Aura Soul set to launch in the coming weeks, of which she is named as director.

They are currently on the lookout for models to show off their collections.

Life seems very happy for Louisa right now, having just enjoyed a luxury honeymoon with husband Ben Bhanvra.

The pair were married in a beautiful ceremony in Tuscany in July 2022, almost a year after Aura’s birth.

The ceremony had been delayed three times due to Covid, but they eventually managed to exchange vows in front of 90 members of friends and family.
