Everything you need to know about Love Island 2021 launch tonight

In its triumphant return to the iconic villa in Mallorca, Love Island host Laura Whitmore will introduce 22 new islanders all in the search for love.

Get ready for eight weeks of dramatic re-couplings, hilarious tasks, fire pit fury and “I’ve got a text” being shouted across the pool.

After such a long break, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we're more excited than ever.

This year’s Love Island returns to its original home in Mallorca after its winter addition in 2020 was filmed in Cape Town in South Africa.

The iconic return is also welcoming its first-ever disabled contestant along with a semi-professional footballer, ex pageant queen, Nando’s waitress and water engineer.

What time does Love Island start tonight?

The new series of Love Island we’ve all been waiting for will start at 9 pm on ITV2 or ITV hub.

The Islanders class of 2021

Sharon Gaffka, 25

Former pageant queen from Oxford, Sharon Gaffka now works as an Operations Lead for the Department of Transport.

The new islander is also an ambassador for the Young’s Women’s Trust.

A source said: “Sharon is intensely political and a big campaigner around equality and women’s rights”.

Aaron Francis, 24

Luxury events host Aaron, has a royal connection after working at Princess Eugenie and Beatrice’s weddings.

Looking for love Aaron said: “I need someone that is passionate about what they are doing – from scientist to anything – you can tell when someone is speaking about something and they are actually smiling while they are talking. I love that”.

Liberty Poole, 21

Nando’s waitress and marketing student Liberty is looking for the “best summer ever”.

When describing her perfect man Liberty said “I like a tall, alpha male, confident, a cheeky chappy sort of guy”.

Hugo Hammond, 24

The shows first-ever disabled contestant Hugo was born with a clubfoot.

“You can only really tell when I walk barefoot. I’ve got a really short Achilles heel. I walk slightly on my tiptoes.”

Hugo also loves sports, playing cricket for England PD (Physical Disability) and is also a PE teacher.

Shannon Singh, 22

Scottish ex-glamour model and Daily Star Page 3 girl Shannon Singh is now a full-time influencer.

Shannon also creates YouTube videos, takes on commercial jobs and is known to DJ too.

Jake Cornish, 24

Water Engineer Jake is looking for love and someone who is loyal after a seven-year relationship and someone.

Lettings manager Faye Winter from Devonshire loves her jobs and hopes she can go back after the show.

She said: “I’ve actually only taken a sabbatical from work because, in my ideal world, I’d love to go back to work.
