Explosive EastEnders return for Robbie Jackson and son tonight

Robbie Jackson will finally return to EastEnders tonight – and he's brought his son Sami along with him.

The market road sweeper, played by Dean Gaffney, left Albert Square last year following lover Donna's departure.

But his comeback will be fraught with issues as it becomes apparent he is involved in a bitter custody dispute with his estranged wife Nita.

Actress Bindya Solanki will be returning to the BBC soap as Nita after 16 years away.

Nita steps foot back into Walford for the first time since 2003 in a bid to get her son Sami back from Robbie.

She is left fuming over Robbie's attempts and getting his son to become comfortable in Albert Square.

Nita is returning for a one-off episode, airing on June 13, and will be fuming at Robbie.

The pair will become embroiled in a bitter spat as they talk about Sami's future after their split in 2015.

Robbie is desperate for his son to stay longer in Albert Square – will she agree?

Nita first arrived in EastEnders back in 2001 and wasn't too impressed with Robbie at the start, instantly looking down on him.

But the pair slowly fell in love and he later moved in with Nita and her other son Anish.

However Nita decided to return to India in 2003 to live with her parents, who could look after Anish better.

Robbie left with them to go to Mumbai and the couple had Sami in 2010.

He returned to the Square seven years later without his family.

Will his son stay with him in Walford?
