Game Of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie reveals she cried for so long after filming for season eight wrapped people got bored with her
GAME Of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie has revealed she cried for so long after filming for season eight wrapped people got bored with her.
The 40-year-old actress plays Brienne of Tarth in the hit HBO series, which comes to an end in a matter of days.
Appearing on tonight's edition of The Graham Norton Show – which is being guest hosted for the first time in its history by Jack Whitehall – Gwendoline said: "I have been telling myself for years that it will end and that I have to be prepared to let go.
"When it came to the final episode, I got through it and I felt fine all day.
"But, when it came to the speeches, I finally went to pieces and couldn’t stop crying for two hours.
"People got bored with me in the end, but I got it out of my system.”
Gwendoline isn't the only star of the show who cried during the final season.
Kit Harington – who plays Jon Snow – broke down in tears as he read the final script.
In a trailer for upcoming HBO documentary The Last Watch, the British actor is shown looking emotional as the cast gathered for the last time.
Kit looked a far cry from his brooding Jon Snow, who he has played since the very first episode.
Instead he was seen with tearing up with his hand over his mouth to prevent him from crying.
All of the cast were seen gathered round him, as they did their last ever read though.
The two-hour doc is set to air in the US on May 26 – a week after the show's big finale, with a UK screen-date to be confirmed.
The Graham Norton Show airs tonight on BBC One at 10.35pm.
