Geoff returns to terrorise Yasmeen in horror Christmas showdown in Corrie
Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) was left terrified in Coronation Street tonight (December 25), as she couldn’t stop thinking about the hell evil Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) had put her through.
With justice having prevailed and Geoff no longer tormenting her, Yasmeen was determined to have the best Christmas ever.
Therefore, she invited Alya (Sair Khan), Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) and Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) around for Christmas dinner.
Yasmeen threw herself into the preparation — hellbent on ensuring everything was perfect. However, she ultimately found it difficult to do so, as being back in No.6 brought back painful memories for her.
From hearing Geoff’s voice, to seeing red ‘x’s painted all over the cupboards, Yasmeen soon struggled to figure out what was real and what was not.
She did her best to hide what she was experiencing from her loved ones, but she soon found herself hallucinating, and nasty Geoff appeared before her — barking orders at her.
A terrified Yasmeen sank into to the corner of the kitchen, fearing for her life.
Alya, Cathy and Ryan approached her, and attempted to make her see that Geoff cannot hurt her anymore.
Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) popped by for a visit, and she stayed for a cup of tea. She ultimately gave Yasmeen some advice about how one attempts to come to terms with the abuse they suffered, and how one can move on with their life in the aftermath.
Elaine reminded Yasmeen that she’s got her family to help her through it, and she can also take solace in the fact that Geoff is dead, and is therefore ‘never coming back’.
Yasmeen thought on Elaine’s words, before heading to the cupboard to wipe away the last little red ‘x’.
Coronation Street continues Monday December 28 at 7:30pm on ITV.
