Gogglebox star breaks down in tears in emotional tribute after sad death
Gogglebox star Julie Malone broke down into tears as she shared a heartfelt tribute to her beloved rottweiler dog Dave and thanked fans for their ongoing support during the difficult time.
The Malone clan confirmed earlier this week that their dog Dave, who was a well-loved member of the family, and millions of Gogglebox viewers, had sadly passed away.
On Wednesday, Julie, took to Instagram to announce the sad news as she said: "RIP Dave xxx There are no words to describe you, or how much you meant to us. This was you on Sunday waiting for your Dad to come back and he had only gone out to the car x We are all going to miss you so much."
Now the Gogglebox star has shared another heartbreaking tribute as she broke down in tears and told viewers to “enjoy” watching Gogglebox tonight”.
Julie said in the video: “I thought I would come on and say a great big thank you for all of your messages, they do mean a lot, it makes me so proud that Dave touched so many people. Your messages have been amazing and we have got comfort from reading them all and reading how much Dave meant to you as much as he meant to us. He will never be forgotten.”
Holding back tears, Julie continued: “He was a big character and he gave us love and we loved him right until the very end. He wasn’t in any pain, it was nice and peaceful.”
Se finished off and said: “enjoy your Friday, enjoy Gogglebox”, before apologising for crying on camera.
The TV star was quickly flooded with even more supportive messages from fans, as many more paid tribute to the fury star.
One fan said: “Not gunna lie had a bit of a cry when I got saw the news of Dave’s passing I loved Dave to bits as you did hugs xxx”, while another added: “He definitely was a character so many moments that just made you laugh”.
A third said: “oh Julie, don't apologise 4 being upset, loosing a beloved fur baby is devastating, there a part of ya family, it must be beautiful to know how much dave was loved, just shows how special he was, shed a tear watching this Purley cos your pain oozes through 2 us all”.
