Gray lies to the Carters about Tina's death in EastEnders

Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) is playing sick mind games with the Carters in upcoming EastEnders scenes, as he claims he saw missing Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) on a bus.

The killer, as viewers will know, cruelly murdered Tina during the festive season last year, covering up her death, before promising Shirley (Linda Henry) that he’d do all he could to track her down.

But his attention soon moved to Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams), after the two embarked on a passionate relationship.

Gray, who received a caution from work, is worried about money in approaching scenes, and his problems are multiplied when boss Laura Awoyinka arrives on his doorstep with a HR rep in tow to deliver some shocking news.

He’s sacked!

Gray reels in the wake of the revelation, as Chelsea brags all about the designer clothes her beau has bought her. But things take quite the turn when Gray tracks her down and confronts her with his credit card bill!

Chelsea, however, shows no interest in his debt, claiming that it’s not her problem, which only angers the murderer further.

The news of his job, coupled with Chelsea’s nonchalance, leaves Gray livid with fury, and therefore he takes shocking action, heading into the Queen Vic to have a word with Shirley.

He claims he saw Tina on a bus, leaving Shirley in shock, as she wastes little time in relaying this new information to Mick (Danny Dyer).

The following day, Shirley pops round to see Gray at No. 1 with Mick by her side, desperately wanting to know all there is to know about Tina.

Manipulative Gray, however, states that he cannot be one hundred percent certain it was Tina that he saw.

Nonetheless, Shirley is on the warpath, and her attention soon turns to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), as she tells Mick that the twosome are going down unless they confess about their plan with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt)!

Phil, meanwhile, arrives back in Walford, and while he takes umbrage with Ben’s (Max Bowden) decision to allow Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) into The Arches, he soon has bigger fish to fry, as Shirley confronts him and orders him to turn himself in to the police for what he did to Ian!
