Ahead of her directorial debut on the set of Grey’s Anatomy, star Kim Raver shed some light on where she would like to see the future of ABC’s hit medical drama go. The actress explained how she wants to “keep on going” after a “momentous” season 20.

Grey’s Anatomy’s Teddy Altman actress sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the future of ABC’s long-running medical drama.

When asked how far she sees the drama going, Raver was hopeful about the team returning to Grey’s Sloan Memorial for the foreseeable future.

The actress enthusiastically replied: “Oh, let’s keep on going!” as she remained hopeful the drama could continue past season 20.

“We would all love season 20. There feels something very momentous about a season 20,” Raver added.

Raver doesn’t believe it’s the right time for her and her colleagues to hang up their scrubs just yet.

She explained: “I don’t feel that way. I just feel like there’s [something] inherently in Grey’s Anatomy and the amazing way to tell human stories and I feel like that just can keep going.

“We have all these new, young interns and there are so many stories to be told with them and I love them in contrast with the attendings.”

Before explaining how she thinks there is “longevity” when it comes to the drama, adding that the writers “can keep going because the stories are ever-evolving”.
