Im A Celebrity backlash as ITV ruin elimination twist
I'm A Celebrity: Preview for Tuesday's show as pressure mounts
At the beginning of the episode, hosts Ant and Dec entered the camp as they told the remaining stars two of them would be taking part in a survival trial.
As they took it in turns to save themselves, Joe Swash and Phil Tufnell were the two last standing which meant they headed down to the challenge area to face the Temple of Doom.
Both locked inside separate tombs, the two men had to race against one another to try and unlock four padlocks with the codes inside of their confined spaces.
Joined by a series of snakes, it was clear Joe had started to panic as one of the reptiles blocked his vision.
During the trial, many viewers were tweeting along with the episode showing support for who they wanted to make it through.
However, they were left reeling when ITV’s official Twitter posted Joe had become the next star to leave while the trial was still on TV.
Sharing images of him leaving the South African jungle, they wrote: “All good things must come to an end! A teary but grateful @realjoeswash leaves Camp with a renewed love for his #ImACeleb experience.”
As the broadcaster had spoilt who had left before the challenge had come to an end, viewers were fuming with the error.
GforceGill said: “Lol the trial hasn’t even ended and they tweet this”

Xjade_xo fumed: “We’re not even halfway through the trial could you have waited.”
Kfallon70 tweeted: “Oh perfect timing twitter, when we haven’t actually got that far on the show yet!”
Rosskiernan_ commented: “Bit of a scheduling mess up there”
OliviaAntoniuy reeled: “No point watching the end of the trial then.”
However, it looked as though Joe was ready to leave the South African jungle as he had been seen crying at the beginning of the episode.
Waking up from a dream which included his family, the former EastEnders star was highly emotional as he confided in his campmates about missing home.
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa continues weeknights on ITV from 9pm.
