Due to the coronavirus pandemic, things are a little different on this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The series has relocated from a jungle to a castle in Wales meaning it will be easier than ever for fans to keep up to date with what the celebrities are doing. While in the past, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have been presenting the series when it’s morning Down Under, this time they’ll be fronting each episode on GMT time.
However, with time zones no longer an issue, viewers were quick to point out the “unnecessary” inclusion of the clock.
Fans know longer need to know what time it is in Australia when the show goes out so some were baffled as to why it was shown on screen.
The hosts also referenced what time it was as they fronted the first episode of the series.
Ant remarked: “Welcome back to a brand new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
“Before we go any further, let’s just do a quick time check.
“It’s nine, thirty three here in Wales which means the time back at home is nine, thirty three.”
“Thanks for that Ant,” Dec replied mocking his co-star.
Fans of the ITV series took to Twitter to comment on the moment and the inclusion of the clock.
One viewer posted: “The live time in the corner is unnecessary.”
Another added: “Didn’t know the time was the same in Wales as it is here.”
“Well aware what the time is in Wales,” a third posted.
Someone else shared: “Anyone find they are looking at the clock in the corner of the screen #imacelebrity.”

A fifth joked: “Thank god they’ve put a clock on the screen to tell us what the time is in our own country #imacelebrity.”
However, some thought it was quite funny as one noted: “I just love the fact there is still the clock in the corner of our tv screens telling us what time it is, even though there is no time zone difference whatsoever. #imacelebrity.”
Meanwhile, campmate Jordan North left fans feeling rather queasy as he threw up before his first trial.
Five of the celebrities were tasked with abseiling down a cliff to pick up the rucksacks for everyone.
But Jordan, who revealed he could feel his morning bagel churning in his stomach, wasn’t a fan of the task.
He could be seen vomiting at the top of the cliff as he confessed he was “so nervous”.
Unfortunately for the Radio 1 DJ, fans went on to decide they wanted to see him squirm more and voted him to take on the next Bushtucker Trial, Viper Vault.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs weeknights on ITV at 9pm.
