Keanu in danger as he discovers Ben's secret in EastEnders
Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) has been on the receiving end of many a snide remark courtesy of Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) in EastEnders, but things are going to get a lot more tense as Keanu discovers a secret.
Despite the fact he packed him off to Spain and made him risk his life, Keanu has been getting on pretty well with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) as of late. However, Ben has made his disdain for Keanu incredibly obvious, and the animosity between the two has resulted in some heavy scenes — specifically the human trafficking incident, in which Keanu refused to play ball.
The pair attempt to bury the hatchet in the coming episodes, as Ben offers Keanu some work. One of Ben’s contacts then show up in Walford looking for Phil’s son — but they mistake Keanu for Ben! Eager to find out what the Mitchell lad is up to, Keanu plays along, and takes some logbooks for the dodgy cars that Ben had ordered.
Of course, Ben is confused as to why his contact never turned up, and questions Keanu over whether anyone came asking for him. Like a pro, Keanu plays dumb.
However, Ben later spots his contact in Walford — and he tweaks on that Keanu has double-crossed him!
The big question here is: how will Ben react? If we’ve learned anything since his return to the Square, it’s that he doesn’t like people disobeying him, and with Keanu having shown which side he’s on, the young mechanic’s life could well and truly be in danger!
Having said that, Keanu’s been through a lot as of late, what with Danny Hardcastle (Paul Usher) kidnapping Louise (Tilly Keeper), as well as his relationship with Sharon (Letitia Dean) having gone belly-up — and then there was that whole thing in Spain — and yet he hasn’t buckled under the pressure.
Perhaps he’ll be able to outwit Ben and use the information he’s acquired against him?
