Some of the Loose Women cast is reportedly up in arms over Phillip Schofield's explosive affair, with one even making a formal complaint to bosses.

Phillip, 61, quit ITV completely after stepping down from This Morning when he admitted to the affair and confessed he'd lied to bosses, co-stars and his own lawyers about it.

Now, as reports emerge suggesting other This Morning regulars are considering quitting because of the scandal, the drama has leaked into the Loose Women crew too.

Mail Online's Dan Wootton claimed: "I spoke to a number of the Loose Women presenters personally who were livid and worried that they were having to deal with the very really fallout of Phillip's mixed up professional and personal life.

"At least one of the stars had made a formal complaint to management."

It is thought that the unnamed younger man involved with Phillip originally worked on This Morning but was moved to Loose Women after things "turned sour" between them.

Speaking of the "livid" stars, Dan continued: "Another told me: 'We shouldn't be having to deal with Phillip's messed up situation. We love (the young worker) but he's very troubled now. What if he can't cope?"

Phillip left This Morning last weekend after an unrelated incident, however the huge fallout soon followed.

On Friday (May 26) he admitted he'd had an affair with the younger man, describing it as "unwise but not illegal".

He confessed to covering up the affair, which happened during his 30-year marriage to Stephanie Lowe, saying it was to "protect" the man.

ITV soon released a statement condemning Phil, saying both he and the younger man "categorically and repeatedly denied the rumours" when rumours of the affair started circulating years ago.

It added: "Phillip’s statement yesterday reveals that he lied to people at ITV, from senior management to fellow presenters, to [his now former agent] YMU, to the media and to others over this relationship."

On Saturday (May 27), his former co-star and close friend Holly Willoughby finally addressed the scandal, also slamming Phil's "lies".

She said it a short statement: "It's taken time to process yesterday's news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."
