Loose Women’s funniest moments – including filthy innuendos and disastrous fall

The Loose Women are celebrating their 20th anniversary – and that's two decades of leaving viewers in hysterics.

Some of their funniest moments have included filthy innuendos, hilarious costumes and a celebrity guest's disastrous fall.

Speaking on Wednesday's show, host Andrea McLean said: "They say that laughter is the best medicine so we've made it our mission to bring you a laugh at lunchtime every single day.

"And I think we've been doing a pretty good job over the last 20 years we've been on your screens."

Here is a look back at funniest Loose Women moments ever:

Keith Lemon breaks the desk

Keith Lemon has caused a lot of chaos in the Loose Women studio over the years.

But his most outrageous moment came when he climbed onto the desk while telling a hilarious story.

The comedian went to get into a very cheeky position, raising his leg and flashing his crotch to stunned Denise Welch and Carol McGiffin.

But it ended in disaster when Keith broke the desk and fell through – leaving the audience gasping.

John Barrowman's spectacular fall

John Barrowman had everyone gasping when he dramatically fell off his chair.

The fabulous new Dancing On Ice judge leaned back on his chair and put his feet on the desk to reveal his ruby red stilettos.

However, John was sent crashing to the floor and disappeared behind the desk.

The Loose Women panel were gobsmacked and Sherrie Hewson's reaction was priceless.

Denise Welch's dad comes in drag

Ahead of her wedding to Lincoln Townley, Denise Welch had a big party with the loose ladies.

Denise's hen do really kicked off when her dad came dressed as a blushing bride.

Drag queen Vin was wearing a lovely white wedding dress complete with a veil.

Giggling Denise explained: "I said on Twitter this morning please can they not bring my dad on in drag."

Andrea McLean's saucy innuendo

There have been a fair few accidental innuendos on Loose Women over the years.

One of the funniest was when Andrea McLean said: "And that is even if you actually do manage to get it up the arm."

But the audience burst out laughing as the word "arm" sounded like something a lot ruder.

Realising what she had said, mortified Andrea put her hands over her mouth.

Joey Essex pie-gate

Cheeky chappy Joey Essex gave Andrea McLean a big pie in the face during a Loose Women and Men special.

While playing a game, Joey had to pie one of the girls – and chose a horrified Andrea.

She got immediate revenge by throwing it straight back at the former TOWIE star.

This became an ongoing pie feud as Andrea got him back on a future show.

Then last Christmas Joey cam dressed as Santa and tried to pie Andrea, but got the cream all over Stacey Solomon by accident.

Ed Balls sings to Little Mix

Ed Balls has come a long way since his time in front line politics.

The former MP picked up a microphone and started singing Little Mix banger Shout Out To My Ex.

The best bit was that Ed was actually quite a decent singer.

Coleen Nolan's Ginger Spice moment

Coleen Nolan has left viewers in hysterics with a lot of different fancy dress outfits over the years.

One of her most infamous moments came when she turned up as Ginger Spice.

Coleen went for the full look, including that union jack dress and a bright ginger wig.

Then Geri Halliwell herself came out from behind to surprise Coleen.

Heeeeeere's Janet

Janet Street-Porter is usually stern faced and straight talking – but sometimes she lets her hair down.

She once turned up in the studio dressed as a hot dog.

In one funny sketch, the terrified loose ladies ran to hide from Janet in their dressing room.

But she smashed through the door with an axe yelling: "Hereeeeee's Janet."
