Loose Women’s Janet Street Porter had a rat thrown at her by Johnny Rotten
Loose Women regular Janet Street Porter has revealed that she one had a dead rat thrown at her by punk legend Johnny Rotten.
The journalist turned TV regular appeared on the latest episode of new ITV show Paul Sinha's TV Showdown where she made the grim admission.
Chatting to host Paul, 50, who fans will know from hit ITV quiz show The Chase, Janet explained working in TV and showbiz isn't as glam as it looks.
Janet, 74, said: "I did all those films on punks and I got spat at and gobbed at.
"Johnny Rotten, he threw a dead rat at me."
Paul then joked that that is why there are perspex dividers between the show guests.
However, in reality the dividers were put in place by bosses to comply with the government's social distancing rules amid the ongoing Covid pandemic.
Fellow show guest Love Island host Laura Whitmore went on to agree that while she's not had a animal thrown at her – living or dead – her job isn't just glitz and glamour.

Laura, who found fame thanks to her big break on MTV, explained that when she was hosting the EE BAFTAs she was so cold the A-list celebs checked to make sure she was ok.
Laura said: "I was once on the BAFTA red carpet and it was really freezing and I had a ballgown on.
"I had to have a coat to keep me warm and Samuel L Jackson just made sure I was ok and I looked that cold."
Recently talking about bagging his own show, Paul told Radio Times: "To be perfectly honest, since March and lockdown, life has been completely surreal.
"When I first walked into the studio and saw my name in lights, I couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing.
"At the same time, life has been so odd since March that nothing completely takes you by surprise anymore."
He added: "It’s my first year of marriage as well, so it’s been quite the adventure.
"When the realisation set in that the TV show was actually going to happen, it was hard to know how to react other than: ‘My God, this is a weird year.'"
