Lorraine Kelly has revealed an awkward toilet blunder that happened to her which she's called a "disaster".

Giving ITV viewers a preview of her and her daughter Rosie appearing on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox tonight (June 24), people got to see the duo have a conversation on their cosy sofa.

The 62-year-old said that going for a "pee pee" outside is fine with her daughter saying it is a lot easier if you're a "bloke".

Lorraine then mentioned to Rosie that women can use a device called a Shewee to help them go to the toilet outside.

Although the ITV host admitted that they "don't really work" before telling her daughter what happened when she once used one.

Rosie questioned: "Do you have a Shewee?"

Laughing at embarrassment, Lorraine replied: "I tried and it was a disaster."

Shocked that her mum had used the portable urination device, Rosie asked where she had used one.

Lorraine stated she decided to try it out when she was once in Africa with her daughter questioning if it went everywhere.

Embarrassed, the 62-year-old simply said: "It did not end well!"

Lorraine announced on Instagram this week that she will be taking part in the new series of the Channel 4 show alongside daughter Rosie and her little dog Ruby.

The mother-daughter duo first joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox last year and has been fan-favourites ever since.

Sharing a post online, Lorraine told her 494k followers: "Me and @rosiekellysmith and @rubyisasausage so happy to be back • @c4gogglebox Welcome back @LorraineKellySmith, @RosieKellySmith and Ruby! #CelebrityGogglebox 9pm | This Friday | @channel4."

It wasn't long before fans shared their excitement to see Lorraine back on their screens on Friday nights with many people saying it was "brilliant" to have them back.

Speaking to Hello magazine, the star admitted to being a huge fan of the regular show and was "chuffed" to be asked to return with her daughter.

She said: "It's such good fun and you really do forget you are making a TV show, because it is all about sitting on your own sofa in your 'comfies' with some popcorn and a cheeky glass of rosé wine. There are a couple of remote cameras, but you don't even notice them after five minutes.

"All the programme makers are in their technical truck so you forget they are recording everything."

Celebrity Gogglebox continues this Friday on Channel 4 at 9pm
