Love Is Blind’s Amber and Barnett brag ‘we’re still gross and happy’ as they plan ANOTHER wedding – The Sun
LOVE Is Blind’s Amber Pike and Matt Barnett say they are still as 'grossly' in love as they were when they filmed the Netflix show two years ago.
The couple got engaged on their first face-to-face meeting during the hit reality TV show and married just 38 days later following a Mexican retreat.
But they are still going strong almost two years after their November 2018 wedding, and are now keen to tie the knot a second time.
Speaking to People magazine, Amber recalled her time on the show saying:‘‘Mexico was cloud nine… We were unnaturally happy and it was gross.
"We were gross. We still are pretty gross.’’
The 27-year-old addressed whether the couple would be saying "I do" once again, adding:"I would love to do another wedding.
"There’s no rush on it. We’re married now, but at some point.’’
After dating from inside separate "pods", where they could hear but not see one another, the couple only met when Barnett proposed to Amber without seeing her in the flesh.
After 38 days, the pair got married in a lush villa in Mexico.
Amber said that getting married for a second time would allow her to enjoy some traditional parts of a wedding that she missed out on because of the show.
She said: "I do want to get to do a bridal shower with my family and my bachelorette trip with people I actually love and who have partied with me before.
"All the traditional Southern stuff that we skipped over and rushed through.’’
The show, filmed in 2018, had contestants meeting each other in the pods, but they couldn’t physically see each other.
Then after 10 days, the couples who agreed to get engaged, met in person for the first time when they were sent on a retreat to get married.
Amber’s comments come after fans of the Netflix series found her posing with dead deer’s and supporting hunting.
Season 1 of Love is Blind is available to stream on Netflix. The Love Is Blind reunion show will be available to watch on Thursday March 5 on Netflix.
