Madonna branded 'desperate' after sharing provocative pictures on bed in fishnets and high heels on Instagram
MADONNA does her best to express herself with a series of provocative images — and ends up being the butt of everyone’s jokes.
In one shot, the 63-year-old singer looks like she is searching for something under her bed.
Another shows her sprawled on her mattress wearing fishnets and high heels.
Others show the Papa Don’t Preach singer lying under a duvet with her breasts exposed, and biting the bed frame.
But fans and celebrities quickly became Hung Up on the Instagram posts.
TV presenter Anneka Rice said: “Madonna and I are exactly the same age. I presume she’s searching for her phone charger. If I tried that I’d never be able to get up again.”
Piers Morgan, 56, who is one of the singer and actress’s most vocal critics, simply tweeted: “Rock Bottom.”
TV presenter Lorraine Kelly spoke about the images on her morning show yesterday and called them sleazy.
Actress Kate Beckinsale, 48, shared a series of screenshot messages between her and her daughter Lily after pretending the snaps were of her.
The Hollywood actress asked 22-year-old Lily: “Do you think this is too much? Thing is, my ass looks good.”
Lily replied: “I wouldn’t be embarrassed if you posted that. I would be concerned.”
But despite being generally mocked, Madonna’s post quickly racked up more than a million likes.
Madonna is on a break from music to work on her biopic — although she refers to it as a “visual autobiography”.
Talking about the project, she said: “The reason I am doing it is because a bunch of people have tried to write movies about me but they are always by men.
“Universal sent me the script because they wanted my blessing and I read it and it was the most hideous, superficial crap I had ever read.
“This happened a couple of times. I had to call up heads of studios and my agents and threaten them and protest if they go through with it.
“Finally I threw down the gauntlet.”
