Married At First Sight couple Michelle and Owen are still married six months after the show finished filming.

The hit Channel 4 show aired the finale of the fifth series on Tuesday night, with viewers' hearts melting over manufactured couple Michelle and Owen.

Michelle and Owen opted to say "I do" as they headed the altar in the episode, which was filmed earlier this year.

The newly married couple were seen struggling to come to terms with where they would live, leaving viewers concerned their romance may not last.

When asked if they would like to stay married, Owen said: "100 per cent yes. She's fantastic. She's awesome.

"It's just about working out how we stay together. And we need to do it quite soon."

Michelle added: "It's this whole idea of where we are going to live. So I think that I am going to move to Sheffield!"

Writing on social media after the romantic episode aired, David wrote: "Not sure I'd cope doing it again. But I am really glad I did it, def learned a lot about myself [sic].

"No regrets, no blame. Out of all 4 couples, even though only 2 got married, the matchmakers got 75% success!!! 3 couples loved up and still together [sic]."
