Martin Lewis takes a swipe at Maisie Smith on GMB over Celeb SAS Who Dares Wins | The Sun

MARTIN Lewis took a swipe at Celeb SAS Who Dares Win star Maisie Smith.

The Good Morning Britain guest host was back in the hot seat today for a special show about the cost of living crisis.

But for some light relief away from the economic doom and gloom, Martin and his co-host Susanna Reid were joined by stars from the Channel 4 series.

Susanna told viewers: "Maisie Smith reveals she got two black eyes after a challenge on Celebrity SAS. She joins us live this morning."

Martin cut in, saying: “I love that programme but why, why would anyone do it?”

Maisie was branded "f***ing terrible" by instructors after she failed to do a backwards dive into the pitch black ocean correctly in last week's episode.

While some managed to do it without causing any pain to themselves, others panicked and messed up the dive – with Maisie’s fall looking particularly painful.

Former EastEnders star Maisie is one of 12 well-known faces facing their fears in the new series.

The 21-year-old former child star is tested to her limits in the series and says she has come out of it as “a completely different person.”

The show is known for horrifying tasks and one involved jumping out of a helicopter, which resulted in Maisie being rushed away for medical attention.

She previously told The Sun: “I literally got black eyes from where I fell in the water on my face. For the whole show I had two black eyes.

“Literally when I came out of the show my thighs were still dark purple for two weeks, they were still dark purple just from falling onto water from a height.
