The long-awaited next entry in the NCIS franchise is finally coming to CBS in less than two weeks. Led by Vanessa Lachey’s Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant, the star’s Instagram followers got their first look at NCIS: Hawaii’s fresh-faced team in a brand new trailer.

Vanessa Lachey has revealed an exclusive first-look at her brand new series NCIS: Hawaii on her Instagram page.

The brand new full-length trailer has shared new footage of Lachey as the Pearl Harbor team’s no-nonsense Team Leader, Jane Tennant.

As NCIS’s first SAC to lead her own series, Lachey captioned the video: “NEW TRAILER! Here we GOOO!!!”

Thankfully, Tennant won’t be alone as the NCIS franchise is adding a fresh crop of new agents to the upcoming spin-off.

For example, the new trailer has revealed an extensive look at the team’s Cyber Intelligence Specialist Ernie Malik (Jason Antoon).

An official description via Variety describes Ernie as a “polyglot with a keen mind for technology, history, literature and all things Hawaiian.

“Ernie doesn’t have family on the island so he’s invited himself to join his Team’s families.”

Fans also got their first look at the team’s wildcard agent, Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant).

An NCIS newcomer, Kai tries to strike out on his own and provokes a strong warning from the team’s SAC.

However, as a local to the island, Kai’s ties with the community could end up being more useful than Tennant realises.

Jane Tennant won’t just be tackling some of the toughest cases to hit the Pacific Islands, as she’ll also be balancing her work with her duties as a single mother.

Viewers also got a glimpse of Jane’s family in the series, including Kian Talan as her eldest child Alex Tennant.

Plus, Yasmine Al-Bustami as junior field agent Lucy Tara, Tori Anderson as Special Agent Kate Whistler and Noah Mills as Tennant’s second-in-command, Jesse Boone.

The trailer has also teased what could be one of the most action-heavy instalments of the NCIS franchise so far.

In addition to the series’ signature shootouts and face-offs, there will be plenty of car chases and vehicular mayhem to enjoy once the series gets started.

The new footage also kicks off with a bang as a military jet hurtles into the side of a mountain, surely one of the most impressive action sequences of the series to date.

Upon seeing the latest trailer, Lachey’s followers flocked to the comments in anticipation of the show’s release later this month.

One excited fan said: “You’re crushing this role! Love it!”

Jane Tennant will be following in the footsteps of Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon), but the new trailer has already proven she’s got the goods to deliver.

NCIS: Hawaii will premiere on Monday, September 20 on CBS.
