Peter Andre looked unrecognisable in throwback snaps while paying tribute to his sister.

The 49-year-old has four older brothers and an older sister named Debbie and in throwback snaps he wished his sister a happy birthday.

In a sweet social media video of his sister, Peter said: “Big happy birthday to my beautiful sister Debbie. We’ve always been so close.

“From the days when we wanted to be Michael and Janet Jackson to being the greatest thing we could have asked for….. parents. And you sis are an incredible mum. Love you and thanks for looking after the Golden Oldies (mum and dad) see you soon.”

Pete looks world’s away from what he looks like now, sporting very long curly locks, with a sweeping fringe over his eye.

Meanwhile Debbie looks youthful in a white top with pearls on, as she hugs Pete in the throwback pictures.

Peter Andre in awkward misunderstanding as he appears on This Morning

Peter says he wanted to be like Michael Jackson in the snaps, and went on to impersonate the singer when he landed a headline guest role in the West End show Thriller Live in 2019.

Dressed in a blue bomber jacket, black trilby, loafers and white socks, Peter both danced and sang the late US pop star's hits during his first show.

Taking to Instagram, Peter later wrote: "What a fantastic first night. Thanks you all so much.

"See you tomorrow night for show number 2. By the way the cast and crew are unbelievable.  #thriller #thrillerlive#thewayyoumakemefeel."

After landing his role in Thriller Live, Peter appeared on Good Morning Britain and insisted he had no qualms about appearing despite some fans refusing to listen to Jackson's music.

Peter said on the ITV breakfast show in October: "I have always said that I think we have got to keep the music separate.

"The reason I say that is do you listen to the music pre-supposed allegations? Where do you go with it?

"Someone told me they were listening to Rihanna the other day and there was a sample of Michael Jackson in the song.

"She said she wasn't sure if she should be listening to Rihanna but the song had a whole sample of Michael Jackson. So where do you draw the line?"

He added: "This show is about the music. I have to say, I always have to say, they are allegations."
