Ruth Langsford recalls terrifying Strictly experience and being overwhelmed
Ruth Langsford has admitted she found her Strictly Come Dancing stint "terrifying" and 'overwhelming'.
The Loose Women presenter graced the BBC ballroom in 2017, where she was paired up with show-pro Anton Du Beke and knocked out one week before the big Blackpool performance.
Ruth, 62, has now opened up about her Strictly stint and admitted she found the whole thing "terrifying".

Speaking to Jojo Sutherland on her and comic Bruce Devlin's Be Honest podcast, Ruth said: "I loved all the makeup and wigs. I mean, I had a different wig, a different hairstyle every week.
"I loved it. It was amazing. Long blonde, Short red. Listen, it is the best, best thing. But for me, it was the most terrifying as well, which I hadn't thought about at all.
"Nor should you because when you watch Strictly, you just see the joy of it, and the fun of it."
Jojo asked her: "What scared you?", Ruth revealed she was fearful of the performances and could never remember her dances.
She answered: "Oh God, the performance, just performing.

"And I could never remember my dance. I swear to god and Anton will back me up.
"In the rehearsal room, all week, loving life, learning the Charleston, whatever I was doing, great. And then the first time I went to the studio…I felt so overwhelmed, and we're walking in, and it's big…
Luckily for Ruth, it seems now-judge Anton saw the funny side of her panicked routines.
She continued: "And the music started, and it was as if I hadn't ever done a single step of that dance. And when we finished, I just looked at him in panic.

"And he went, 'Oh, that was interesting'. And he started laughing. I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry, I couldn't remember'."
Ruth confirmed her and Anton have stayed "great friends" since dancing together in the ballroom.
It comes as Ruth's Loose Women co-star Kaye Adams is set to make her own Strictly debut.
Kaye is the latest Loose Women star to appear on the show following Judi Love, who took part last year.
