Skins Sid star Mike Bailey now working as a school teacher as he quits acting
Skins star Mike Bailey, who was better known as Sid Jenkins on the show, has been rumbled by the school children he now teaches.
The 32-year-old, who shot to fame back in 2007 on the E4 hit series was uncovered by one of the pupils at his school – who took to TikTok to share his findings with the world.
Mike was last seen on-screen back in 2013, when he featured on the teen comedy Birmingham We Are the Freaks.
Following his last TV appearance, the actor decided to change tact and opted for a refreshing career change, deciding to become a teacher.
Until today, he had managed to keep a low profile as he pursued his dream to educate.
With his identity now disclosed in the form of a social media video, by one of his own students, he quickly achieved all time cool teacher status.
In the snippet, Mike looked totally different while stood at the front of the classroom dishing out instructions for the lesson.
The clip which has now gone viral, was captioned: "Sid from Skins (Mike Bailey) teaches in my school."
The video was picked up by Reddit and reposted which seemed to cause quite a frenzy as comments filled beneath the post.
One person said: "Yeah he teaches drama."
While another chimed: "Tell him he has fans!"
Back in 2017, Mike hinted in a Radio Times interview that he may be looking to explore his options to become a drama teacher.
He said: "I kind of thought 'what the f**k am I doing with my life?' and ended up getting in a conversation with the wife a couple of years ago and decided that those who can't act teach.
"10 years ago I never thought I'd still be talking about it, but [Sid] still does pop up every now and again.
"I mean, it's always kind of been there. It's kind of fizzled out over the years, but I mean, it was always a good thing."
For some lucky cast members of the show, Skins became the gateway to Hollywood, propelling the careers of Nicholas Hoult, Kaya Scodelario and Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel.
