Spoilers: 'Dead' Todd faces Billy in Corrie after Phelan exorcism

You know that situation when you’re on the cusp of becoming archdeacon and you perform an exorcism in your pal’s house to draw out the spirit of a serial killer and your ex steps out instead?

Lads, we’ve all been there. And this is what Coronation Street’s Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) faces tonight when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) emerges after being presumed dead.

A fake funeral was even on the cards for Todd, who wanted to stage his death in order to escape gangster Mick, who is after his blood.

But with Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) hearing noises upstairs, she automatically assumes it must be the ghost of Pat Phelan because of course.

As Billy reluctantly performs his ritual, Todd eventually emerges and tries to explain things to his former love – but Billy is aghast that Todd would let him and Summer (Matilda Freeman) believe him to be dead.

Meanwhile, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) is dealing with Mick – whose current partner is randomly accusing Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) of having an affair with his man.

As Eileen clears the matter up and lays the cards on the table for Mick – aka that Todd isn’t worth his hassle of killing (thanks maw) – will Todd be able to stick around?

And what will that mean for Billy?

Coronation Street continues on Monday October 19 at 7:30.pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
