Strictly Come Dancing professionals leave fans devastated as they're 'too tired' for meet and greets during live tour

STRICTLY Come Dancing professionals have left fans devastated as they're 'too tired' for meet and greets during their live tour.

Show favourites including Pasha Kovalev, Gorka Marquez and Oti Mabuse are no longer meeting fans who bought £95 VIP tickets to see them in person before the performances, according to The Mirror.

Fans who had purchased the pricey tickets received an email which said it had "become apparent that because of the huge intensity of the 50-plus routines in the show, the dancers need as much rest as possible between each performance."

It added that the decision had been made to ensure the health and wellbeing of the performers.

The tour, called Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals, started in The Lowry Theatre in Salford on Friday night.

The 35-date tour will see the likes of Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, AJ Pritchard, Neil Jones, Giovanni Pernice, Karen Clifton and Katya Jones perform around the country before finishing at the Sunderland Empire on June 2.

One disgruntled fan told The Mirror: "It’s not good enough. Absolute disgrace… So disappointed to be told the meet and greet of the tour is now cancelled.

"This was a Christmas present for my kids.”

Another added: "It was my Nana’s 80th birthday present.

"It’s more the fact they have left it until the day before the tour starts when they will have known for a long time how gruelling it was going to be.”

A tour spokesperson told The Mirror: "Unfortunately, the meet and greet offered as part of the VIP ticket will no longer go ahead.

“The producers of the tour apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and will issue ticket holders a refund for the meet and greet element of their ticket. They will also receive a VIP goody bag.”

Earlier this week, Katya, 29, put on a brave face as she reunited with her fellow pros to pose for pictures for the tour.

Katya was seen dancing with husband Neil, 36, as they attended a photocall just days after she was axed from the main line-up for the BBC show.
