Strictly’s Annabel Croft admits ‘I would be sobbing at home’ without Johannes
Annabel Croft opens up about Strictly on Good Morning Britain
Strictly Come Dancing star Annabel Croft has opened up on how the BBC dance competition and partner Johannes Radebe have been “light” in her dark times dealing with grief.
Annabel and Johannes joined Good Morning Britain presenters Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins on Friday morning to discuss her upcoming couple’s choice dance.
After teasing the emotional performance, Annabel explained: “Strictly has come at an incredibly difficult time in my life.
“A very dark time, but you have brought so much light to my life honestly, you have been an angel, thank you.”
Charlotte asked: “Do you feel then that having this to throw yourself into in a sense has helped?”

Immediately, Annabel expressed: “Oh, there is no question about it and I don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have Strictly Come Dancing at this period of time.
“It has been such a distraction away from terrible grief. You know I keep saying I had no concept of what grief was.
“So to get up in the morning and have a purpose rather than just sobbing at home, even though that still happens.
“To be able to move your body to get things out as well. It is incredible and I just wish I had it in my routine all the time.
“I am quite old now, I am 57 and my body is in the best shape it has ever been, it is amazing what dance does.”
