The Talk fans BEG show to hire guest host NeNe Leakes after demanding 'jealous' Sheryl Underwood be fired
THE TALK guest host NeNe Leakes made quite the impression with fans as they encouraged producers to hire the reality star in place of Sheryl Underwood.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum received praise from viewers after her guest hosting stint on the show this week.
The daytime talk show shared a post on their Instagram page following NeNe's appearance prompting fans to flood the comments section with their thoughts.
In the post, the program included a snap of the reality star sitting comfortably in her guest host chair, smiling at the camera.
The 53-year-old wore a black, white, and red tracksuit for the live broadcast with her long straight hair flowing down.
They captioned the post: "Our guest co-host is looking FABULOUS today! Thanks for hanging out with us @neneleakes while @amandakloots is away ❤️"
Fans responded with positive messages about the episode with a slew of red heart and smiley face emojis.
Many even called for NeNe to have a regular hosting spot on the long-running talk show after her performance.
One person wrote: "😍😍 she needs to be a permanent host!"
While a second person agreed writing: "Keep Her ❤️❤️😍"
The generous feedback continued in a follow-up post again thanking the TV star for filling in this week in host Amanda Kloot's absense.
This time, the program shared a group shot of NeNe with fellow hosts, Akbar Gbajabiamila, Sheryl, Natalie Morales, and Jerry O'Connell.
They captioned the pic: "Thanks for joining us again today @NeNeLeakes!! For more behind the scenes with our fabulous guest co-host – check out #TheTalk's IG stories 😍"
One user replied calling for NeNe's return: "NENE permanent! You have your cast right here! This the first week I ever watched!"
While a second person echoed the sentiment writing: "The Talk has never been better. Loyal viewer is back. A Team for sure 👏👏👏"
In a third post shared on Thanksgiving morning to commemorate the holiday, comments veered towards host Sheryl demanding her removal from the show.
The comment read: "😂😂😂😂😂😂 when is that Sheryl leaving the show🙌🙌👏👏"
Last month, fans bashed the comedian after Natalie stepped in as the moderator and received rave reviews.
One fan wrote on The Talk’s Facebook page: “Natalie is a seasoned professional journalist. She’s doing great interacting with the audience and guests.
“Sheryl is going to get jealous because everybody likes Natalie more and try to concoct a ‘plan’ to get rid of her as well.”
A second said: “How did The Talk score with Natalie Morales!? What a great add! She brings much needed credibility to the show and has such a charismatic personality. She blends in well with Akbar, Jerry and Amanda. Now they just need to replace Sheryl and the show can be a hit!!”
A third penned: “Good show today, Natalie and Akbar are excellent additions to the show. I love Amanda, she’s genuine and a beautiful person in and out. Jerry is the needed humor to make the show lighter.
“But I still don’t understand Sheryl’s part in this show, she is totally out place, and she knows it. I think is time for her to concentrate on being a comedian, and not a talk show host.”
A fourth praised: “She’s definitely their golden ticket. She deserves everything she got out of them! Smartest move I’ve seen them make for awhile!!! Good work CBS!!!”
And another said: “In my opinion, Akbar and Natalie have increased the quality of the show. Amanda is good too. It is good to see Natalie taking the lead as in my opinion it gives the show the credibility it needed. Natalie is the only journalist, she can hold the show together.”
OUT OF THE LOOP
The Sun previously reported Sheryl was “blindsided” by Natalie’s addition to the talk show, as she “felt she should have been consulted and kept in the loop out of respect for her seniority with the show.”
The insider continued to allege: “There is so much hoopla surrounding Natalie and so much publicity and airtime devoted to her joining the show.
“Amanda has Dancing With the Stars and is getting lots of attention so that makes Sheryl feel like she's not getting the eyeballs that she wants.
“Sheryl feels she isn't getting credit for being the glue that holds the show together.”
Natalie has also been moderating during her premiere week, as the source continued to claim: “Natalie was the clear choice for moderator.
“Sheryl would love that role and to be the main star of the show, but Natalie is a much bigger name and has earned to be the lead because she brings gravitas, experience and her following from her years at NBC.
“Everyone hopes Natalie can be the secret sauce to improved ratings."
Bu a separate inside show source told The Sun: "The hosts and show are in a great place right now, everything is clicking creatively and everyone is excited to be working together.”
A rep for Sheryl did not respond to The Sun's request for comment.
