The truth about The Bachelorette’s Ed Waisbrot
Ed Waisbrot made his debut on reality TV when he showed up to greet Clare Crawley in a giant plastic bubble on The Bachelorette. Granted, Clare’s season was filmed during the coronavirus pandemic, so it was not that bizarre of a night one entrance given the times. However, despite his humorous entrance, Ed did not get much air time when Clare was the lead — she was too busy falling head over heels for Dale Moss. But, when Clare exited halfway through the season with Dale, Tayshia Adams took over and allowed not just Ed, but many of the other contestants to get some well-deserved attention.
So, of course, in typical Bachelor-style, whenever there is more time to focus on the contestants, that means the chances for shade to be thrown are greater. And that’s exactly what happened with Ed once Tayshia became the lead.
Wondering what drama the 36-year-old healthcare salesman stirred up during his time on The Bachelorette? Or are you an avid Bachelor fan and just want to know more about the Miami, Fla. resident? Whatever your reason may be, we have got you covered. Here is the untold truth of Ed Waisbot.
Ed Waisbrot isn't afraid to share his opinions
From Ed Waisbrot’s career to his showdown on Tayshia Adams’ Bachelorette season, we did some digging to find out all there is to know about one of Bachelor Nation’s newest additions.
Ed started to get more screen time on the Nov. 17, 2020 episode when he butted heads with fellow contestant Chasen Nick and bad boy Noah Erb. Bustle noted that Ed “confronted” Chasen for being “a fraud” and “a phony,” which led to an “altercation between the two,” adding, “[a]t the end of the episode, Ed also — for lack of a better term — kind of lost his s**t over the fact that Noah received the group date rose.” Ed subsequently threw more shade by saying, “F**k Noah! F**k that guy!” during a confessional interview.
However, despite his competitiveness with Chasen and Noah, Chris Harrison says Ed is “a really good guy.” Before the season, Chris talked about his impression of Ed in a “Meet the Men” video clip (via Screen Rant). He joked, “Because I’ll be honest, I did. I said, ‘This guy’s a meat-head. There’s no substance. There’s nothing to him.’ I was wrong.” And based on Ed’s LinkedIn and Instagram accounts, we could not agree more. The University of Pittsburgh alum has enjoyed a profitable career in healthcare sales as a strategic account executive for CVS Health, and he appears to love the outdoors. His Instagram is filled with scenic pictures (and hilarious puns).
But does this make him the perfect match for Tayshia? Only time will tell!
