This Morning fans sure ‘weird’ Holly and Phil are part of Ant and Dec prank

This Morning fans were left scratching their heads on Monday after hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Scofield started acting "weird" during James Martin's cooking segment.

Earlier on ITV Daytime, Lorraine Kelly had been acting rather strange too during an interview with KSI on her own show.

And on This Morning, when James was cooking chocolate choux buns, Holly and Phil started doing some bizarre stuff too.

At the start of the cooking segment, Phil burst into a declaration for his "best friend forever" Holly, before she started beatboxing along to James' mixer.

Phil completely flattened his bun before making some family friendly innuendos, while James looked completely confused.

And Holly told him not to "mug her off" or "tell her what to do", when she asked if she could use different ingredients if she wanted.

Poor James was left stunned to silence too when both Holly and Phil told him that his creation "tastes a lot nicer than it looks".

Viewers picked up on their odd behaviour straight away, flocking to Twitter with their speculation that ITV Daytime was the subject of an upcoming Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway segment for Get Out Of Me Ear.

"Now Holly and Phil are doing exactly the same as Lorraine was, what's going on?" one person said.

Another wrote: "Now Holly and Phil are being weird."

A third said: "Oh here we go… someone is in Phil and Holly's ear. Ant and Dec no doubt."

While someone else said: "What's going on with ITV Daytime? Lorraine was weird during the KSI segment and now Holly and Phil are being weird during this James Martin segment."

And a fifth said: "If Ant and Dec were in Holly and Phil's ear on This Morning I want to see James being told it was a prank because it really was uncomfortable to see James trying to stay calm during his segment."

Some have predicted there will be funny business on Loose Women too, which follows This Morning.

It appears this could be part of an upcoming episode of Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, in which hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly speak to celebrities via an ear piece and make them do hilarious things to unsuspecting members of the public – or in this case, other famous faces.

If Holly and Phil have been brought in to take part, they're in good company, as Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have also done Get Out Of Me Ear in the past.

Gino D'Acampo, Craig David, Cheryl, Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancey, Mel B and even Mark Wahlberg have also featured in the hilarious segment.

In the current series of Saturday Night Takeaway, Davina McCall featured, as did father and son duo Harry and Jamie Redknapp.
