This Morning’s Holly and Phil slammed as they snub Max George chat: ‘So rude’

This Morning’s Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield spoke to The Wanted singer Max George about his return to music.

The pair chatted to Max about his new single and his time in the band, and also finding love with new girlfriend Stacey Giggs.

However, things turned awkward as Phil and Holly interrupted the chat to go to a live feed of president Donald Trump arriving at Number 10 Downing Street.

As Donald and Melania met Theresa May and her husband Phillip, fans were outraged as the camera quickly cut back to Max waiting for the interview to continue.

They rushed to social media to brand Holly and Phil ‘rude’ for snubbing the interview, as one posted: “‘Sorry Max you’re boring us so we’re going live to a giant wotsit in a wig who we find miles more interesting.'”

Another added: “Why did This Morning interrupt Max’s interview just to speak about a racist, homophobic, disgusting person? Very rude.”

A third chipped in: “Bit rude of them to interrupt a segment to show Trump arrive.. no one cares.”

As Phillip asked if that meant there was something from Meghan’s side, Max quickly replied: “There wasn’t.

“There was nothing in it,” as the pair quickly moved on.

This Morning continues tomorrow at 10.30am on ITV.
