Ever wondered what those famous, familiar faces on our screens are worth and how much money they really bring home?

Finance expert Gemma Godfrey has shared her thoughts on each rich celeb and how they’ve made their money from TV, The Sun reports.

It might come as no surprise that personal finance guru Martin Lewis is high on the list – but surprisingly he rakes in more money than ITV’s This Morning stars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

In fact, the MoneySavingExpert founder tops the list, and is the richest TV star in the UK, according to the list.

Here is the ultimate TV rich list, from Martin Lewis to Phillip Schofield.

1. Martin Lewis, £128m

After selling his website, Martin is the richest amongst the TV stars, worth £128 million.

He is now a presenter on ITV’s, This Morning and recently appeared as a guest, hosting Good Morning Britain.

Gemma told The Sun: “Martin cornered a market and satisfied people’s need to be smarter with their money – and it paid off for him too.”

2. Anne Robinson, £32m

Coming second, but no means close is Anne Robinson, presenter of the hit BBC game show The Weakest Link.

The 76-year-old presenter also hosted the US version of the show but has most recently returned to Channel 4 hosting Countdown.

Gemma said: “Crafting a persona and aligning herself with well-known and well-loved TV franchises has driven her financial fortune.”

3. Declan Donnelly, £27.5m

Despite teaming up with fellow host Ant as the famous double act, Dec earns a considerable amount more.

Beginning his career in his teen’s on the BBC drama Byker Grove alongside Ant, they have since gone on to present I’m A Celeb, Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain’s Got Talent.

Gemma said: “Great example of the power of building a loyal fanbase, by fronting much-loved shows.”

4. Bradley Walsh, £20m

Now, presenter of the Chase, you may also recognise Bradley from his appearances in Coronation Street and Doctor Who.

Alongside presenting he also runs a development property and had his own company called Wingit.

Gemma said: “Clever to invest some of his earnings into property to earn different revenue streams.”

5. Ant McPartlin, £20m

With an identical career to Dec, Ant found himself in a bit of trouble in 2018 when he went through a divorce and was fined £86,000 in the same year for drink driving.

But with Dec by his side along the way he bounced back to presenting and the double act were back.

Gemma said: “Given that Ant has built a similar career to Dec, his lower ranking shows just how much your personal life can affect your finances.”

6. Chris Kamara, £14.5m

Ex-footballer Chris Kamara has presented a number of shows that puts him further in the limelight.

He joined Sky Sports as a pundit, presents Soccer Saturday and Goals on Sunday and also hosts ITV’s, Ninja Warrior.

Gemma said: “Chris hit the back of the net with his career moves on and off the pitch – from footballer to pundit and now presenter.”

7. Laura Whitmore, £10.7m

The face of this years Love Island host, Laura has also commentated for Eurovision, featured on Strictly Come Dancing and also presents Radio 5.

The Irish star first began her career in 2008 and has since appeared across our screens and even has a deal with Nintendo.

Gemma said: “Love Island has seen Laura’s finances rocket. She’s also cleverly made money from her brand with commercial deals.”

8. Holly Willoughby, £10m

This Morning presenter has appeared across many TV shows, making her very recognisable and earns herself an impressive £730,000 a year.

Having hosted, Dancing on Ice, Celebrity Juice and some I’m A Celeb shows too, the star also has deals with Garnier and Marks & Spencer.

Gemma said: “Fighting for pay equality has driven her finances, as has being a brand ambassador.”

9. Claudia Winkleman, £8.74m

The well-known co-host of Strictly Come Dancing has also appeared on Fame Academy, The House of Tiny Tearaways and The Great British Sewing Bee.

The 49-year-old brunette is also the face of the brand giant Head & Shoulders and also hosts on Radio 2.

Gemma said: “Brand and book deals have helped elevate her.”

10. Phillip Schofield, £8m

Joining Holly as the double act who present This Morning on ITV, Phillip has also hosted Dancing on Ice and The Cube.

He has also appeared on adverts, We buy Any Car and waitress Wine.

Gemma said: “Hosting This Morning has allowed him to branch out. He is now well recognised in tongue-in-cheek ads.”
