Unpredictable Love Island bombshell is grandson of ex-Scotland football captain

Jay Younger, the grandson of an ex-Scotland football captain, is a new bombshell set to enter the Love Island villa on Tuesday night.

Series eight of Love Island, the hit ITV2 show, is barely more than a week underway, and with it has come many twists and turns.

After 25 year old Afia Tonkmor was the first person to be booted from the villa after a shock dumping on Monday night, it was revealed that there are two new bombshells on the way into the villa.

They are 28 year old Jay and Remi Lambert, who is also 28.

In his Love Island entrance interview, Jay revealed that he is the grandson of former Scotland International goalkeeper, Tommy Younger.

He said: "My grandad played for Liverpool and he was captain of Scotland back in the 1950s. He was in the hall of fame for Liverpool and he was in the hall of fame for Hibernian F.C."

The Investment Analyst from Edinburgh said of his decision to enter the Love Island villa: "I think I am at the point in my life where it would be quite fun to find someone and have fun along the way. And doing it in Mallorca and in the Villa would be a great opportunity, so why not?"

When asked what he thought he was going to bring to the villa, Jay said: "I think I am going to be a supportive Islander, I think I am going to bring a lot of fun. Hopefully some good laughs along the way and maybe some indecisive decisions."

The brunette with a rippling eight-pack shared that he's not afraid to break up a couple in the villa, even going as far as to say: "I am very competitive, so I wouldn’t be afraid to go after a girl if I wanted them."

He also boasted: "Davide might be the Italian snack but I'm definitely the Italian main course."

Jay is clearly not afraid to sing his own praises as he said: "I think I genuinely have what most females want. I’ve got a good job, I think I am a good looking lad and I have a lot of fun so I feel like I could add a lot of value to their lives if they add a lot of value to mine."

He also admitted that he was single due to being "indecisive", saying: "I’ve just been very indecisive. I think I am just not one to settle down easily", whilst also revealing that his dating life has been "very unpredictable".

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
