WENDY Williams has been absent from the current season of her talk show, The Wendy Williams Show.

Where is Wendy Williams today?

After Wendy Williams took a step back from hosting her talk show following a variety of health struggles, the star said she is itching to get back to work.

"HOW YOU DOIN’? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I’m making progress but it’s just one of those things that’s taking longer than we expected," she wrote to her fans via Instagram on November 8, 2021.

"I’m a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I’m ready.

I love spending my mornings with you all and I’m doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. I love you for watching."

Williams has had a tough couple months after a Covid-19 diagnosis and ongoing health issues. The talk show announced the 57-year-old will not be returning for the upcoming season, as she is "not ready" to be on camera due to "ongoing medical issues."

On Instagram, they revealed that a series of "guest hosts" will take over for the foreseeable future, including actress Leah Remini, who filled in for the first week.

Fans have since raved about her performance saying she has done an "amazing job" filling in.

A source exclusively told The Sun earlier this week that the process to find replacements for Wendy, who recently bought a NYC penthouse amid all of her health issues, has been difficult.

"Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis. She is making progress but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease and her thyroid condition."

The post continued: "Wendy is a valued and stalwart member of the Debmar-Mercury family and has been so for 12 years. We want her health to be her top priority. As soon as she's ready, she will be back in her treasured purple chair. We very much appreciate the respect for Wendy’s privacy, as well as all the good wishes from her fans, station partners and advertisers."

While Williams recovers in New York City, her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., is residing in Florida, where he was spotted with friends at a nightclub in Tallahassee.

Who else is guest hosting the Wendy Williams show?

Most recently, it was announced that Remy Ma and Fat Joe will be stepping in as guest hosts on the show, on November 23rd and 24th.

The pair has planned to put their "own spin" on Wendy's signature "hot topics" and other classic segments from the talk show.

Their appearance will follow Devyn Simone, Bevy Smith, Elizabeth Wagmeister, and Michael Yo who will reappear to kick off the Thanksgiving week.

In the month of November, the Wendy Williams show has hired more guest hosts: Jerry Springer, Michael Rapaport, and Bill Bellamy.

In a press release, the daytime talk show stated: "The Wendy Williams Show is excited to announce that actor and comedian and good friend to the show, Michael Rapaport will be guest hosting the week of November 8th.”

Following his fill-in, the November 15 episode featured an all new hot talk panel. That Tuesday and Wednesday, Bill Bellamy is set to host.

Just days after the start of season 13, the show announced the addition of Whitney Cummings and Sherri Shepherd, who took over after Remini’s gig ended.

Cummings said in a press released that she is an "avid fan" of the show and that sitting in the iconic purple chair is a "surreal" moment.

“In my opinion, nobody is more entertaining or authentic than Wendy Williams," Cummings said.

“As an avid fan, it is surreal to sit in for Wendy, but as someone who has been a guest on the show so many times, I feel confident that my relentless habit of speaking candidly, often to the point of self-sabotage, may go over well with her fans.”

Cummings was the host for October 25-29 while Shepherd started on November 1.

"I'm so excited to return to the Wendy Williams Show to host for a full week! Shepherd said about the role.

“I had such a great time when I hosted the show in 2019 and I'm flattered that Wendy and the producers put their trust in me to fill in again.

“I'm sending my love and well wishes out to her.”

As the show continues its season without Williams, it has seen a jump of 33% in household ratings, according to The Wrap.

As for syndicated talk shows, it currently ranks fifth behind Dr. Phil, Live With Kelly and Ryan, Ellen and The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Who is Wendy Williams dating?

For 20 years, Williams was married to Kevin Hunter, with whom she shares son Kevin Jr, 21.

In 2019, the two decided to part ways and Williams has since been linked to a couple of different men.

In early 2021, Williams was dating Maryland-based booker Mike Esterman, but after a couple months of dating, he exclusively told The Sun that they had drifted apart because of his busy work scheduled.

"It's a busy time of the year for home improvement, I don't know if I can give her what she wants," Esterman said. "Nobody called it a day, there's just no time to meet up. We talk when we can. I can't hold her back from meeting someone who can give her more."

Just a few months later, Williams was seen celebrating her son's birthday in August with a new man.

Williams shared a snap with her man in the car captioned: "My son’s 21st birthday party on the yacht in #Miami was everything he wanted! Even my boyfriend."

While she has confirmed a new relationship, the man's identity is still unknown.

On October 27, 2021, it was reported that Wendy's ex-husband Hunter was engaged to his baby mama Sharina Hudson.

A source close to Kevin, 48, told The Sun that he purchased the ring in 2020- before Wendy suffered a health-related crisis.

Earlier this year, The Sun exclusively revealed the first photos of Sharina and Kevin's toddler daughter, and the family's quiet life in Florida out of the spotlight.
