ONE Direction's Louis Tomlinson publicly appeals to Liam Payne as he re-emerges on social media following his illness.

Following an extended absence from social media, Liam, 30, resurfaced last night, and it was during this time that his former bandmate attempted to reestablish contact.

In an Instagram post, Liam Payne shared a photo alongside Mike Tyson with several other flicks.

He wrote the following caption: "Thanks for having me Saudi. Its beautiful to see how the landscape is changing."

Louis commented: "Give me a ring lad!!!"

The comment garnered over 46k likes in the space of 13 hours.
