Mum stops plane crew from shutting door so daughter could finish shopping spree
A mum stopped a plane crew from shutting the doors so her daughter could finish a shopping spree at the airport, it was claimed.
The woman reportedly made 160 passengers wait for her daughter to board the plane in the early hours of the morning at Bangkok.
One traveller on board claimed passengers were left furious with her actions on the Bangkok to Shanghai service operated by Chinese budget carrier, Spring Airlines.
The plane was due to depart at 3:30am from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, where duty-free shops are open 24 hours.
Footage posted by the witness shows the woman sitting on the jet bridge outside the aircraft as an airline worker talks to her.
The clip was trending on Chinese short-video platform Douyin and also shows other confused passengers out of their seats as crew tried to deal with the incident.
The witness said a woman understood to be the daughter had also called airport police to demand the flight wait.
She allegedly told the police she had checked in two pieces of luggage and left hand luggage on the plane with her mother.
The woman believed to be the mum can be seen in the corridor outside the plane laying on the floor as a member of staff stands over her.
Spring Airlines confirmed the incident to Mail Online after watching the clips.
A spokesperson said the passenger who had boarded the plane was emotional and tried to block the cabin manager from closing the door.
The flight landed in Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 9:14am, more than one hour behind the schedule.
