Tube pusher ‘fractures man’s skull with hammer and shoves him on tracks’ – The Sun

A MAN was attacked with a hammer and was pushed onto the tracks at All Saints DLR station last night.

Police are searching for a man who fractured the victim's skull with a hammer and shoved him onto the Tube tracks.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was hit over the head with a hammer before being shoved onto the DLR tracks at 10:45pm last night.

Luckily, the man was able to run over to the other platform and scramble to safety, but he fled All Saints station with serious injuries to the head.

He suffered fractures to the skull and is still being treated in hospital.

Despite the ordeal, the victim's injuries are not being described as life-threatening.

Officers are asking for any information on the man captured in the CCTV images, who may have information that could help with their investigation.

Detective Superintendent Nick Sedgemore, of the British Transport Police, said: "Clearly this is a very concerning attack.

 

"Enquiries have been underway since it occurred to locate the suspect and understand his motive.

"We ask anyone who knows the identity of the man pictured to get in touch."
