VIDEO: Woman bombs into a pool of sprinkles in New York museum
Well, that bombed! Woman falls flat on her face when she cannonballs into a pool of giant sprinkles
- Kortney Olson, 26, was visiting the Museum of Ice Cream in New York City
- Ms Olson spotted an exhibit which featured a pool full of giant rubber sprinkles
- She told her friend Brianna Pupello, 25, that it would be fun to jump into the pool
A woman’s attempted stunt at an interactive art exhibit ends in failure.
Kortney Olson, 26, was visiting the Museum of Ice Cream, an immersive art experience themed around the tasty treat, with her friend Brianna Pupello, 25, in New York City.
The museum features a knee-deep pool of giant rubber sprinkles, and Kortney thought it would be fun to do a cannonball into it.
However, when she leapt in, she landed hard on the surface of the sweet, then slowly sank in toward the bottom, as Brianna cackled off-camera.
Kortney said, ‘I was slightly embarrassed, but no injuries.’

According to the museum’s website: ‘Museum of Ice Cream transforms concepts and dreams into spaces that provoke imagination and creativity. MOIC is designed to be a culturally inclusive environment and community, inspiring human connection and imagination through the universal power of ice cream. Museum of Ice Cream is a Figure8 brand.
‘We believe in creating beautiful and shareable environments that foster interaction and connections, providing fun, multi-sensorial expressions of ice cream that cater to the appetites of our generation. Now currently stationed in New York City, Austin, Singapore and Chicago (coming soon), MOIC is just getting started.’
Ms Olson’s unfortunate incident is similar to a London cyclist who was filmed ‘faceplanting’ into the back of a stationary car.
The footage, filmed in west London in September, shows the cyclist, fully kitted out in Lycra cycling kit, looking down at his pedals as freewheels into the car.
He faceplants on the rear window, before falling sideways and quickly jumping back onto his bike.
A cyclist came to crashing halt into the back of a stationary car after getting distracted by his pedals in Chelsea, London, on September 5
Rear dashcam footage showed the cyclist struggling to get his feet into the clips on his pedals before he faceplanting straight into the rear windscreen
His friend tried to warn him the car had stopped but it was too late and the cyclist slammed straight into the back of it, in perfect view of the camera.
The unnamed filmer said: ‘Whilst driving through London a cyclist pays too much attention to clipping his feet in rather than the road ahead.
‘Result: he freewheels into the back of my car, amusingly faceplanting my rear window, just to the left of my camera.
‘He wasn’t hurt, except his pride, and my car wasn’t damaged, though it does have some amusing face and handprints in the road muck.’
